MEET THE AUTHOR

Astrid Sheckels cannot remember a time when she was not drawing animals, especially imaginary ones, or telling stories about them. So she felt right at home creating Hector Fox and his friends and bringing them to life with her detailed watercolor illustrations in the pages of Hector Fox and the Giant Quest, Hector Fox and the Raven’s Revenge, and Hector Fox and the Daring Flight. A new Hector adventure, Hector Fox and the Map of Mystery, came out in March 2023.

Astrid Sheckels lives in western Massachusetts were she enjoys going for long walks, reading books, singing, needle felting, and making art. She occasionally gets to talk to foxes. Visit her art world at www.astridsheckels.com
